WHALESHARK AND DOLPHINS IN SUDAN

Mythical Sudan: expert divers always dream of it. The reason is clear on the first time you put your head underwater: the Sudanese Red Sea always will surprise you with life: schools of jacks and barracudas and sharks around the reef.
But Sudan is also the sea of big fishes. And this is never disappointing.
In the Easter cruise, along the usual route Sanganeb - Sha'ab Rumi, divers met a whale shark! Four meters long, just a calf, who, when grown-up, can be over 12 meters. Curiously, he was swimming around the divers for a long time. Until a group of dolphins arrived. They begun to run after him and oried to scare him off.
At his turn the whaleshark tried to scare the divers and the dophins off by a tail movement. The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is the greatest fish in the world and eats only plankton. This "gentle giant" is a protected animal. Its fins do have a price up to 15.000 euros in Asia
